剑桥大学出版社是历史最悠久的出版社之一，致力于出版最高质量的研究，在语言和语言学、政治学、法律、历史、经济学、数学、物理和天文学等领域具有领先优势。目前剑桥大学出版社在支持学术资源的开放获取方面，出版有开放获取期刊50种，开放获取图书82本，读者可以免费使用，其中开放获取的图书大部分是人文社科方面的，学科分布见下表：
